Announcing auditions for Vampires! Horror!Non-union AUDITIONS FOR VAMPIRES! HORROR!, a new rock musical by Dennis Curley and Beau Hays; directed by Beau Hays and choreographed by Andrea Geer. Wednesday August 4, 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Old Arizona Please come dressed to move, and bring headshot, resume, and 32 bars of a song of your choosing. Accompanist will be provided. Auditions will consist of singing and dancing; some of you may be asked to stay a few extra minutes to read from the script. We will be seeing groups of 5 people in 30-minute blocks of time (starting on the hour and half-hour). Vampires! Horror! will run from October 15-30, 2010, at Old Arizona. Horror! is a campy rock musical that gleefully rides the blazing popularity of the Twilight series, the Anne Rice vampire books, and such television classics as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Moonlight, The Vampire Diaries, and True Blood. An unlikely cast of characters, including a small-town sheriff, a toymaker and his pregnant wife, a military general and a vicious tabloid reporter find themselves thrown together by the force of an ancient prophecy. Comedy, singing, and dancing ensue. 14 ensemble members, 11 characters. Four roles have already been cast. PAYMENT: Given the large size of the cast and band, all payment will be a percentage of net profits. |
